For some reason, all of the sudden when I try creating a new node in a bound FS Unity crashes. I have a work around for the moment, I just need to create the new node using a right click rather than extending a link off of an existing node. It’s only when I try to create a node form an existing node this happens. I started a new blank project with FlowCanvas and NodeCanvas and still have the same thing happen. This situation only started after I installed the bridge, but now happens regardless if the bridge is installed or not.
Attached is a log dumped during one of the crashes.
It would seem there are no readily usable file formats I can upload, it’s not accepting zips. So if you want the log I’ll probably have to email it to you directly…
Hmm. That is really weird. Never been reported such a problem before.
I think it could be related to some type added in the Preferred Types Editor that could be causing this (even though it shouldn’t).
Can you please try “Reset” the Preferred Types to their default (Tools/ParadoxNotion/FlowCanvas/Preferred Types Editor -> Reset)?
Also, what version of Unity does this happen?
If you want, please send me a direct email to support_AT_paradoxnotion.com with the log file so that I can check this out, as well as we can solve the problem.
You called it, would seem resetting the Preferred Type List fixed the issue. I am going to slowly add back the reference I use to see if there is one in particular that causes it. Basically I am integrating Third Person Controller with UMA using the Canvas suite right now. If I run into it again, I’ll let you know.
Hey,
Thanks for the follow up. I am glad to know that reseting the Preferred Types fixed this, but I would definitely also be interested to know why it happened, thus if you re-encounter this issue and can pinpoint a certain type added that causes this, please let me know 🙂
NodeCanvas and FlowCanvas both share the same Preferred Types list settings by the way:)
Thanks!
